Halfway Reflection

1. One that was key was to do stuff ahead of time as the assignment required interviews, so to ensure that all interviews could get done on time I suggest you start assignment early. Another was to try and step out of your comfort zone when trying to pitch your idea to people. 2. A moment I felt like giving up was during soccer conditioning we were running suicides and I was drained had no energy left but I completed the drills so that I could make the team and play. I do believe that I have a tenacious attitude as I always want to get the things I start done. I think that my parents always making me do everything to the end and with complete effort, is where it came from. 3. First, I would say that make sure that you do everything with full commitment and see it all the way through. Second, make sure that you have confidence in yourself and your abilities. Finally, know your material inside and out as that helps you with confidence.

Reading Reflection No. 1

1. What surprised me most was that he went almost broke trying to keep his companies alive. It made me admire his determination and trust in himself that he could get the job done. What I least admired was they way he treated his employees and how he made them work so hard only to fire them cause a minor mistake that anyone would make in those work conditions. Elon faced a lot of adversity as he almost went bankrupt and lost both companies, but he was able to secure sponsors and money to make sure that he didn’t go under. 2. Elon was very good at seeing the big vision and was able to guide his companies to be the best they can be. He was able to use ideas that people in Detroit didn’t use to have success. 3. It was confusing that he didn’t mourn over the death of his son and that he tried to just work through it. I think that its good to get past problems, but you need to mourn a little and not bottle things up. 4. What made you want to be an engineer? I want to kno...

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1

Choosing a segment:             For this assignment, I choose the segment of people that watch multiple sports. The three interviewees are students or people that watched multiple sports. Interviews:             The first interviewee watched soccer and football mainly but liked to watch basketball from time to time. However, with the best soccer being played in Europe he said it was hard to watch all the games. He said that this is definitely something he might invest in as it would make it easier for him to watch the sports. Right now, he says that he just uses reddit to stream and watch the games that he wants to watch.             The second interviewee is an avid hockey fan but also likes to watch baseball and sometimes other sports. He said that he mainly watches whatever he can find on tv and when there isn’t...

Idea Napkin No. 1

1. Hello, my name is Ishan Patel, I am a sports management major at UF and have huge interest in sports, I follow just about every sport. I hope to launch a platform that will allow someone to watch any sport in the world. The business would consume my life as not only would I use the product but would also be trying to secure deals to ensure the success of the product. 2. I am offering a streaming service that will allow you to stream any sport that you want to watch. It will include all foreign sports as well to ensure that everybody that likes sports can enjoy. The service will let you choose what team you would like to watch instead of having to watch what ever team is being aired in the area if the sport was on regular cable. 3. I am offering it to anybody that likes to watch sports. The service will be for people that like multiple sports mainly as they wouldn’t have to purchase multiple channels or subscriptions to watch the sports they like. 4. The service i...

Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

Who: Through the interviews I found out there is a group of people that may normally be people that would purchase the streaming service, but don’t as they don’t follow sports. One interviewee didn’t watch any sports but liked to go to gator football games. He was someone that I thought was a potential buyer, but he wasn’t as he never watched tv let alone sports as he had no cable. There was another female athlete that I believed would purchase the service, but she said no as she watched game film to improve her game rather than other sports.  What:               The need I identified is different from the ESPN and other sports streamers is that they can only provide that teams that are playing on their network. With this you would get every team as it is from the sport that the tv rights will be gained. The problem maybe that not many people watch all sports.  Why:       ...

Solving the Problem

The solution to my problem is to create a site that streams every type of sport that is out there. I personally want to watch many sports even ones that are not played in the US like cricket. The problem I face is that I have to purchase channels to watch them and the channels can cost upwards of a hundred dollars a year. I want to create a service that streams all the sports for only one fee instead of a fee for every channel that I have to buy. This service will provide you with the opportunity to watch whatever sport you desire all on one site without having to pay multiple times for multiple channels. It will probably cost ten dollars a month which is cheaper than paying that for multiple channels at a time.

Testing the Hypothesis, Part 1

Streaming service for sports 1.      There are hundreds of different sports in the world and many channels that stream these sports, but there is no streaming service that provides access to all sports, so you have to pick and choose what sports you want to watch. a.      The who: Sports watchers around the world b.      The what: Can’t watch all the sports they want due to channels not being available c.      The why: They have to purchase many channels to stream all sports 2.      Hypothesis a.      Testing the who: I believe that not everyone has this need even those that are in the current who as many people have either purchased channels to watch the sport or they have chosen to stream it online. b.      Testing the what: The boundary is that not everyone wants to watch all the different sports, so why would they pay ...
