Final Reflection
1. The best parts were creating this service that I created as it was fun to think about all the little details that need to be done. The lows were networking as I hate talking to people. But overall this class was a fun class although there was a lot to do every week.
2. The most formative experience is the networking that I had to do. I was not good at it but slowly gained confidence and learned how to go about it. I will use this for the rest of my life as in sports management networking is key to ensure a good job. I believe that networking was what made me proud because as I said before I hate talking to people that I don’t really know.
3. I do see myself as an entrepreneur in the future as if the sports management route doesn’t work then I will be trying to start my own business. I have definitely gained an entrepreneurial mindset.
4. I say that don’t be shy to talk to people and actually open up as it will help you in the long run. I also say that they start assignments early so that they get the most out of the course and are not just rushing through interviews and assignments. To foster the mindset they should make sure they are thinking outside the box to make sure that every aspect is covered.

Hey Ishan,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that the networking was a little bit annoying and that it was hard to talk to people. I think the first time it was a very good learning experience, but after a few times it just got to exhausting. I also thought overall though that this class was fun despite the large amount of work. I guess that is what 4 credits gets you. I think you gave very good advice for the next generation since this class does require a decent amount of socializing. You absolutely cannot be shy in this class.
Hey Ishan! I’m with you that creating the ideas was really fun! It let me try and be creative and do something that I would enjoy. I hated the elevator pitches personally since I was not a fan speaking to a camera and nobody on the other side. It made it awkward for me but I got used to it like you got used to the networking aspect. Also, I felt the assignment rush as well. With this, I wrote that people should do assignments and make sure they declare after each part.
